Ah, the ubiquitous newsletter. I actually enjoy receiving the few newsletters I subscribe to. I read them at my lesiure and since I have already invited the authors of them into my inbox, it never feels forced or awkward. And I can unsubscribe if things get a little too pushy. Newsletters mean I don’t have to always check many different sites, follow authors on social media (I don’t use social media so can’t follow) or try to keep up with what each author is doing. It’s a relationship much like the ones I have in real life: come as you are but don’t be a jerk.
I don’t often send out newsletters, perhaps once every few months. And, like I said, I don’t use social media so this is the only way to really keep tabs on me or read what my thoughts are. Feel free to sign up and unsubscribing is easy-peasy.
